Tewksbury Schools Briefly In Lockdown During Fugitive Search

All seven Tewksbury public schools were briefly in lockdown Monday morning, as law enforcement officials tracked down a juvenile fugitive.

The 15-year-old suspect, who was not identified because of his age, was in the court-ordered custody of a social services counselor when he slipped away during a doctor's visit at

According to Tewksbury Police, five police units were sent to the scene, a K9 unit was requested and the State Police Airwing unit was contacted. In addition, several area police departments were contacted regarding mutual aid.

Meanwhile, the Wynn School was placed in lockdown due to its proximity to Saints Family Health. A short time later, a CodeRed message was distributed to the public, requesting their assistance locating the suspect and all seven schools were placed in lockdown, according to Tewksbury School Superintendent Dr. John O'Connor.

The lockdown lasted only about an hour, as the suspect was located and apprehended in Billerica near Morningside Drive.

Additional Arrests:

David Levenson, 49, 1775 Andover St., Room 817, Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 12 and charged with violating an abuse prevention order and domestic assault and battery.

Amber M. Pariseau, 24, 195 Hill St. Ext., Tewksbury, was arrested on Jan. 11 on an outstanding warrant. She was also charged with domestic assault and battery and conspiracy.

Additional Incidents:

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at 9:39 a.m., a caller reported an assault and battery. He said he was in the parking lot of Vic's Waffle House when he saw a car going to fast. He reported that he told the driver to slow down and that the driver stopped, got out of his car and punched him. A report was filed.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at 11:01 a.m., a Shawsheen Street resident called and reported that his "Elmo" lawn decoration had been stolen some time overnight.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at 3:25 p.m., a caller reported a shoplifted had just left the Shell/Dunkin' Donuts at 1220 Main St. An officer stopped the suspect's vehicle on Chandler Street and brought the suspect back to the store to return the item.

On Monday, Jan. 14 at 9:06 a.m., a Pine Street resident called and reported that his truck had been broken into some time over the weekend and that some items had been stolen.
