Tewksbury Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Child Abuse, Held on $10,000 Bail

A Tewksbury woman pleaded not guilty to charges including indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 on Monday in Middlesex Superior Court, according to a report from the Lowell Sun

Lauren Miele, 29 of 94 Pennacook Rd., Tewksbury pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, obscene matter to a minor, reckless endangerment of a child and open and gross lewdness, according to the Sun. 

Miele is charged in connection with an investigation into child rape charges against Tewksbury resident Scott Brzezowski, 29, of 94 Pennacook Rd.

Brzezowski was arrested by Tewksbury Police on Aug. 14 on four counts of rape of a child, four counts of aggravated rape, four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and disseminating obscene matter to a child.  

Brzezowski allegedly sexually abused and raped a 9-year-old girl multiple times, made the child view pornographic material with him and threatened to cut off her pinky finger if she told anyone.

Prosecutors allege Miele was present on at least one of these occasions, according to the Sun. 

Miele was held on $10,000 cash bail, with conditions that if she posts bail she must wear a GPS monitoring device, have no contact with the victim or witnesses and have no contact with with anyone under the age of 16, according to the Sun.
