Theft From Wal-Mart and Dog Attack in Latest Police Log

Monday, August 6

9:28 a.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported an erratic operator on East Street near Tewksbury State Hospital. Leda A. Stachowski, 34, of 12 Winthrop Street in Essex, was arrested and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and operating under the influence of drugs second offense. 

7:56 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver on Shawsheen Street. Cory Daniels, 25, of 7 Fardion Street in Billerica, was arrested and charged with possession of Class A drugs and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Tuesday, August 7

3:37 a.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported a motor vehicle accident on Kendall Road. A resident of the neighborhood reported that the accident took place in front of her home and the vehicle was leaving the scene towards North Street. Police located the vehicle and arrested Ryan J. Vibber, 19, of 23 Baldwin Street in Tewkbsury, on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of property damage. A 19-year-old Tewksbury male was taken into protective custody.

8:05 a.m.: At , a male reported he had money taken from his room. He believed he knew the party responsible, and police filed a report on the incident.

6:07 p.m.: A male party walked into the station and was arrested on a warrant. Michael P. Reynolds, 44, of 44 Otis Street in Lowell, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

11:15 p.m.: Dispatch received a report from a man who said he received a call from a relative at who was involved in a domestic incident. Dean J. Dumont, 44, of 95 Main Street, Apt. 207 in Tewksbury, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. 

Wednesday, August 8

3:32 a.m.: Officers were contacted about a possible water main break in the area of Shawsheen Street. The on-call Department of Public Works employee was contacted and responded to the scene.

8:34 a.m.: Police received a 911 call from Onstar for a motor vehicle accident on Whipple Road. Two motor vehicles were involved with no injuries.

11:21 a.m.: A male party came to the station and reported that while delivering papers on Barbara D. Lane a dog bit him and broke the skin. The Board of Health was contacted and the Animal Control Officer was notified. The dog will be picked up and quarantined.

1:45 p.m.: loss prevention contacted police and two residents were subsequently arrested. Carmen Atanacio, 42, of 51B Swan Street in Lawrence, was charged with larceny over $250. Confesor Salazar, 39, of 51 Woodland Street in Lawrence, was arrested for larceny over $250 and four outstanding warrants.
