I am glad they are fixing the streets, But the traffic caused by shutting this road down needs to be mitigated, perhaps an officer at the Shawsheen and rt38 intersection. Maybe moving the construction to night work as there are no houses on those stretches. In the long run we may need to look at limiting the heavy truck traffic on those roads due to the high rate of wear and tear and make trucks use Rt38. It doesn't seem fair, I know, but if it saves the town money on future repairs maybe it's worth it.

What will an officer at Main and Shawsheen do to help the "mitigation" of the road work? Night work means more money paying all workers for working at night. They are fixing the road and people still have something to complain about. It never fails.

Resident, I think we have enough traffic on Main Street already. This would cause a greater backup then we already have.
