Trio of Residents Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Officers arrived at Motel 6 to serve a warrant on Tuesday, July 30, at 7:03 a.m. Charissa Pickering was arrested on a warrant for larceny.

A car was sent to Lakeview Street to serve a resident on Tuesday, July 30, at 11:53 a.m. Robert Matranga, 59, of 89 Juniper Lane, Tewksbury, was arrested on a warrant of apprehension.

At 12:21 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, officers attempted to serve a warrant at Caswell Motel. Jake Silveira, 21, of 1366 Broadway, Somerville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Surveillance Leads to Cocaine Arrest

Officers noticed suspicious activity on Wednesday, July 31, at 9:01 p.m. at Longhorn Steakhouse on Andover Street. A second unit was requested.

Oliver Vidal, 35, of 127 Palm Street, Nashua, N.H., was arrested and charged with possession to distribute Class B drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws. 

Wallington A. Garcia, 26, of 46 Pearl Street Apt. 1, Lawrence, was charged with distributing Class B drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Additional Incidents:

On Tuesday, July 30, at 1:47 p.m. a resident on Woodcrest Drive said she was in her garage with her two children when she heard someone enter her house. She claimed that a man exited the house, she confronted him and he said he was looking for a Maplewood Ave. address. The caller said the man was giving her a hard time. Police determined that the man was making a delivery on Maplewood Ave., and it was a misunderstanding.

On Wednesday, July 31, at 6:45 a.m. a caller from Beech Street reported a past breaking and entering to a vehicle. The woman calling said her son had a pair of headphones and a pair of sunglasses taken.
