Two Accidents on Whipple Road Sunday Afternoon
A motorcyclist was transported by Medflight to the hospital following a crash on Whipple Road Sunday.
Tewksbury Police responded to two accidents on Whipple Road in under an hour Sunday afternoon, one of them serious.
Police received reports of an accident involving a motorcycle and a car on Whipple Road at Pine Street at 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, according to Deputy Chief John Voto.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries, according to Voto.
The operator of the other vehicle was uninjured in the crash, according to Voto.
Investigators reconstructed the scene of the accident on Sunday, and the crash remains under investigation, according to Voto.
A half hour later, police responded to reports of another crash at Whipple Street and French Street at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, according to Voto.
No one suffered serious injuries in the second crash, according to Voto.
