Two Men Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

In separate incidents, two men have been charged with assaulting officers, in addition to their original charges.

On Tuesday, Aug. 14, officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a disorderly man at the Mobil On The Run, 1785 Andover St.

According to the police report, the suspect did not calm down when officers arrived. Jeremiah Huson, 36, 555 Winter St., Walpole, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, officers made a motor vehicle stop for erratic driving. A check of the driver's license indicated that it was revoked. According to the police report did not cooperate when told he was being taken into custody.

The driver, John H. Machado, 77, 90 Sprague St., Lowell, was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license, failure to stop for a police officer, marked lanes violation, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer.

Additional arrests:

Yomelvin Santos, 23, 32 Doyle St., Lawrence, was arrested on Aug. 15 and charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle after his license had been revoked.

Malay Delcastillo, 30, 1325 Hawk Ave., Virginia Beach, Va., was arrested on Aug. 14 after an incident and was charged with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
