UPDATE: Two NH Men Arrested In Connection With Armed Robbery

State Police arrested two individuals in Tewksbury in connection with an armed robbery earlier in the day in Lawrence.

Two men were arrested in Tewksbury on Tuesday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery earlier in the day in Lawrence.

The men were arrested by State Police after their car was pulled over on Route 495 near the Route 38 exit.

Joseph Brodie, 43, of Merrimack, N.H., is charged with armed robbery with a firearm, armed assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

Ein Nickerson, 29, of Nashua, N.H., has been charged with with armed robbery with a firearm, armed assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

According to a State Police spokesperson, the Andover State Police Barracks were notified by Lawrence Police just after noon that two suspects were wanted in connection with the armed robbery on Prospect Street in that city. They were told the suspects were believed to have fled southbound on Route 495 in a silver Honda Civic.

A State Trooper working a construction detail was the first to notice the vehicle. He called in for additional troopers and the car was forced to pull over.

A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun and the two individuals were placed under arrest.

Details regarding the nature of the alleged robbery were not released.
