A few reminders:

  • One should be cautious about giving personal information out via the mail and over the phone. Unsolicited mail, telephone calls or e-mail should be ignored. Unfortunately, there are many individuals taking advantage of others through scams. Just keep in mind that you haven’t asked for such calls or mail so just toss them aside, delete or hang up if it’s a phone call.
  • Remember to keep cool this summer by staying out of the direct sun during hot and humid days; keep indoor air circulating by fans or air-conditioners; drink plenty of non-alcohol beverages; and, dress in light weight and cool clothing. It’s a good idea to check on elderly neighbors in such weather.
  • It’s also a good idea to keep your cars locked; and, to report any strange or unusual cars or people in your neighborhood. Always check to see who is at your door. If you don’t know the person, don’t open your door. Be safe and be aware.

Have a pleasant week. God Bless America & our service men and women.
