To continue his tour of listening forums throughout the district, Senator Barry Finegold will be hosting a forum on Tuesday, August 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. But unlike the previous events, this one will be happening in your own home.

The listening forum, dubbed a “telephone town hall,” will be a conference call where Senator Finegold will take questions from listeners in Andover, Dracut, Lawrence and Tewksbury. Finegold will also be providing a wrap up of the legislative session that ended on July 31.

“During the past few months, the legislature passed a number of bills that will positively affect residents,” Finegold said. “And there may be some bills that people will have questions on—I am happy to help and explain whatever is on their minds.”

Residents’ home phones will get a call right before the town hall starts. To listen in and be included in the discussion, follow the directions to ask a question or leave a comment.

“Being accessible to my constituents is very important to me because being readily available and proactive helps me better serve the district,” Finegold said. “This new way of hosting a listening forum let’s me talk to people from the convenience of their own homes. I look forward to hearing residents’ ideas and concerns; no problem is too small.”
