O'Neill Joins Campaign for Shawsheen School Committee

Wentworth and Polimeno are first candidates to have nominating signatures certified.

Another active race is taking shape for the Tewksbury Municipal Election.

According to information provided by Town Clerk Denise Graffeo, Richard O'Neill Jr. has taken out nomination papers with the intent of challenging incumbent Patricia Meuse for her seat on the Shawsheen Tech School Committee.

Another new potential candidate is James Killion, who took out nomination paper for the Board of Health.

In the meantime, School Committee Incumbent Krissy Polimeno and Jim Wentworth, one of six candidates for two seats on the Board of Selectman, became the first official candidates on the ballot when their nomination signatures were certified.

Candidates have until Feb. 19 to return nomination papers with at least 50 valid signatures of registered Tewskbury voters to secure a spot on the April 6 ballot.
