Parking and Shuttle Information For Special Town Meeting

Three additional locations have been designated for voter parking on Aug. 20 for Special Town Meeting.

It comes as no surprise that attendance is expected to be high at Tewksbury Memorial High School for Special Town Meeting on Tuesday, with Tewksbury voters turning out to decide whether to allow proposed zoning changes that would accommodate a slots-only casino at 300 Ames Pond Drive.

According to Town Clerk Denise Graffeo, due to expected high attendance on Tuesday, additional parking and shuttle bus service have been set up for Tewksbury voters.

Carpooling is suggested, and no parking will be allowed at the entrance to the high school parking lot or along either side of Pleasant Street, according to Graffeo.

Additional voter parking will be available at the Ryan School, Town Hall/Annex and the Department of Public Works, according to Graffeo.

Shuttle buses will begin picking up voters from these three locations at 6 p.m. and at approximately 15 minute intervals leading up to Special Town Meeting.
