Tewksbury residents are encouraged to participate in the 2014 town census, which is underway.
According to Town Clerk Denise Graffeo, the Annual Town Census serves a variety of purposes.
The census helps provide information to assure that the town receives its fair share of state and federal funds and grants and it serves to calculate veterans benefits, housing for the elderly and other veterans' and elderly benefits.
In addition, the census also helps keep Tewksbury voters active, provides projection for future school enrollments, and allows college students to receive lower tuition at state institutions.
For resident convenience, the town has included a dog registration form at the bottom of the the census. This will allow the town's dog owners to be registered, as is required by law.
Census forms can be returned to the Town Clerk's office. If you did not receive a census or have any questions, call (978) 640-4355 or email email@example.com.
