Upcoming Tewksbury Library Programs For Adults

A Ghost Hunter Visit, A Resume Workshop, A Book Club Discussion & A Screening Of The Latest 'Pirates Of The Carribean' Movie Coming This Week @ Your Library!

Below are the classes & events taking place for adults at the over the next three weeks.

Job Seekers Network Seminar: On Tuesday, October 18 at 2:00pm, join the North Shore Career Center’s Deborah Barnes for a “Resume Reel,” where you will exchange resumes with several attendees, one at a time, and have the opportunity to get and give feedback. Registration strongly recommended.

Library Book Club: On Tuesday, October 18 at 6:30pm, the library’s book club will discuss “The Lace Reader” by Brunonia Barry.  Books are available at the Circulation Desk.  No registration required.

Paranormal Talk: On Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30pm, join Ron Kolek and Maureen Wood – founders of the New England Ghost Project – as they reveal the gory details of some of the most interesting cases ripped from the pages of their latest book, The Ghost Chronicles.  Registration strongly recommended.

Must-See Movie Matinee: On Saturday, October 22 at 2:00pm, watch one of Hollywood’s hottest DVD releases – “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”  No registration required.

Best-Selling Author Visit: On Tuesday, October 25 at 6:30pm, New York Times Best-Selling Author Brunonia Barry will discuss her latest work – The Map of True Places.  A book selling and signing will follow the talk.  Registration required.

Paranormal Talk: On Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30pm, join Dan Gordon – author of Haunted Baseball and Field of Screams – as he discusses the relationship between the paranormal and baseball, including his interviews with past and present Red Sox greats.  Registration strongly recommended.

Job Seekers Network Seminar: On Tuesday, November 1 at 2:00pm, join career coach Julie Bernardin for her talk on personal branding – “Your Red Carpet Moment: How To Sell Yourself.”  Registration strongly recommended.

Financial Seminar: On Tuesday, November 1 at 6:30pm, join General Manager of Valley Credit Repair & Credit Coaching Kim Carpentier to learn how to improve your credit score.  Registration strongly recommended.

Cooking Event: On Wednesday, November 2 at 6:30pm, participate in the library’s first annual Thanksgiving Community Recipe Swap.  Bring your favourite Thanksgiving dish, bring copies of the recipe, and bring your appetite as you’ll be able to sample the dishes of others.  Registration required by Monday, October 31.

Must-See Movie Matinee: On Saturday, November 5 at 2:00pm, watch one of Hollywood’s hottest DVD releases – “Captain America: The First Avenger.”  No registration required.
