Friends

FRIENDS:

Hello Everyone:

It has been a very busy week, but; I wanted to take the time to send this little blog along to all of you.

I am sure that in the past, you have heard of a program called “Friends.” I never watched it on a regular basis, but I did see it once in a while, while flipping through the channels.

We all have Friends, sometimes we call them Peeps or Contacts, and we are always looking to add friends to our lists like Twitter, Face Book, Our Contacts, or IM Lists etc.

The question is this; Are those that we call our “Friends” really close friends? Can or could we call on them at any hour of the day or night, or would they ask us to call again at a more convenient time.  A real friend will stick with us during the good times and also the bad times, when we need them most.

Again; let’s look into God’s Word to see what He has to say about “Friends”

Proverbs 18:24 (NIV)
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

That verse says a lot about the friends we keep. We need to have friends that sticks close to us, no matter what we may be going through.

Do you have a friend that would do what the following verse states?

John 15:13 (NIV)
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

 That is exactly what Jesus did for you and me.

This is what Jesus says about His Friends:

John 15:14 (NIV)
You are my friends if you do what I command.

I became a friend of Jesus, when I asked Him to forgive me of  my sins; He gave His life for me and He will do the same for you….
