A Drug Awareness Talk Every Parent Should Attend!

Read the library's latest weekly press release!

Library News

On Tuesday, March 26 at 7pm, author and mother Melissa Weiksnar will give a drug awareness talk that we hope every Tewksbury parent will consider attending.  Melissa will discuss her new book: Heroin’s Puppet: Amy (and her disease), which tells the tragic tale of her daughter’s six-year battle with substance abuse, ending in an overdose at rehab, just weeks shy of her 21st birthday.  Melissa’s daughter – Amy – didn’t seem like a “typical” drug addict, she was a successful nursing student at Boston College prior to her passing.  Parents are encouraged to bring their middle school and high school students to this powerful presentation, which will include a slideshow presentation and time for Q&A.  A book signing will be held after the talk for anyone who is interested.  Register HERE.
