Former Ryan Principal Hired As Assistant Superintendent in Milford
Kevin McIntyre has served as principal of the John F. Ryan School for the last four years.
Former John F. Ryan Elementary School Kevin McIntyre has been announced as the new Assistant Superintendent for Milford Public Schools, according to a report from the Milford Daily News.
As Assistant Superintendent, McIntyre will oversee curriculum, instruction and assessment, according to the Daily News.
“I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work,” McIntyre said when he was introduced to the Milford School Committee at their last meeting, according to the Daily News.
After serving as principal at Ryan for the last four years, McIntyre was chosen for the Milford post from a field of 50 applicants, according to the Daily News.
Members of the Milford School Committee said they were excited to have McIntyre overseeing curriculum, according to the Daily News.
“We’re really excited to have someone in this role,” said School Committee member Christine Boyle. “To have someone to develop curriculum from kindergarten all the way up is key.”
