Athletics Director Brian Hickey collapsed following the boys lacrosse game on Monday.

Tewksbury High School athletics director Brian Hickey, who collapsed on Monday while leaving the boys lacrosse game at Wynn Middle School, is reportedly improving in health while still hospitalized.

On Tuesday it was reported that Hickey was in serious condition following his Monday collapse. But on Wednesday, the Lowell Sun reported that Hickey was upgraded to "fair" condition while at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital.

According to the Tewksbury Police Department log, the first 911 call came in at 5 p.m. on Monday for the incident, with the caller reporting the man was believed to be having a heart attack.

Bystanders with medical experience reportedly performed CPR after Hickey collapsed to help revive him until paramedics arrived.
