A Tribute to My Father, Paul D.Alley

 My father (by Shihan Deb)

My Dad, My Hero....for without his love and wisdom, I wouldn't be ME!!    :) !

...My Dad taught me to Dream, Focus and Believe...to take one day at a time...to have the courage in the face of life's challenges with faith and the wisdom to live it with depth and reflection...to always take action where action is required, etc...

He lost his courageous battle with cancer six years ago today.

See the link here for my Dad's picture.  For some reason there is no biography....no words about him at all here..The funeral home said they could not type in my father's biography on their current website because "the information was typed in on another program's platform and it could not be transferred". (whatever that means)

We suggested that since the page on their new website exists for my father (this link http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Paul-Alley&lc=7209&pid=147140256&mid=2458008
shows his picture and guest book entries, but no biography), they just go to that web page, which has his picture and guest book entries already, and click 'edit page' and start typing in the biography....they said they tried, but it wouldn't take.  ????

...My father deserves this tribute... My father passed away on Memorial Day weekend 2008.  This action item has been on my table for six years now.  Every year I visit it and the funeral home gives me the same response year after year.

Writing this gives ME closure and gives MY DAD the tribute he deserves!   Here is his biography that should be typed in on the page with his picture.
