New England Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Tippett made a visit to Tewksbury Memorial High School on Tuesday to honor Redmen varsity football coach Brian Aylward.

Aylward was recognized by Tippett and the Patriots organization as their High School Coach of the Week.

Aylward has led the Redmen to a 5-0 record this season, with the team ranked No. 8 by Max Preps, No.10 by the Boston Herald, No. 12 by BostonDotCom and No. 10 by ESPNBoston.

Along with recognition as Coach of the Week, a $1000 donation will be made to the Redmen football program.

Tippett also took the time to meet members of the football team, and took photos with Aylward and the captains of the varsity team.

Redmen varsity football will take Haverhill on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. under the lights at Doucette Field.
