Girls Hockey Wrapping Up Dominating Regular Season

The Tewksbury/Methuen girls hockey team is 11-0 in league play and 17-1 overall.

For the Tewksbury/Methuen girls hockey team, there's been little in the way of challenges this regular season. But the locals are preparing for the competition to stiffen up just a bit as they eye the ultimate prize.

Tewksbury/Methuen will wrap up a dominating regular season this week as the playoffs are just around the corner.

The team currently sits with a regular season league title thanks to an overall mark of 17-1-0 and an unblemished league record of 11-0-0.

That is far and away good for first place ahead of Lincoln-Sudbury's record of 8-6-1 and league record of 5-6-1.

Tewksbury/Methuen wraps up the campaign with tilts against Wayland/Weston on Wednesday and Andover on Thursday. Postseason brackets will likely be determined this weekend as the playoffs get underway not far after that.

It hasn't been a shock for hockey followers to see the team coming together in such a dominating way this year. The locals made a deep playoff run last year, and the roster is made up of just two seniors.
