Police Make Drug Arrest After Red Light Violation

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A vehicle was stopped on Rt. 495 for a red light violation by officers on Tuesday, March 5, at 10:21 p.m.

Following the stop, Alonzo W. Hoggard, 46, of 34 Newhall Street, Apt. 308, Lowell, was arrested and charged with possession of Class A drugs, possession of Class E drugs and failing to stop for police.

While off duty on Tuesday, March 5, at 2:44 p.m., a lieutenant requested officer assistance at Home Depot. Robert Redman, 20, of 244 Dracut Street, Dracut, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing.

On Monday, March 4, at 8:30 a.m. on Catherwood Road, a male party stated that a pitbull came into his yard with no tags, appearing to look unhealthy. The animal may have given birth in the caller’s yard. 

On Tuesday, March 5, at 4:51 a.m. officers went to Motel 6, Room 239, in an attempt to serve two parties. Jonathan D. Miller, 29, and Amanda A. Miller, 23, both of 74 Simpson Ave., Somerville, were arrested on three outstanding warrants apiece.

On Tuesday, March 5, at 7:46 p.m. from the Shawsheen Tower Apartments, police received a call from a resident reporting the person who lives below him is smoking marijuana and the smell is going up into his apartment.

On Tuesday, March 5, at 8:58 p.m. on French Street, a caller reported that she believes someone may have attempted to break into her house sometime today. A window in her child’s bedroom was wide open. Officers responded to the scene and filed a report.

On Wednesday, March 6, at 1:22 a.m. officers were out with a male party on foot on East Street. Kevin Cleef, 23, of 13 Lenox Street, Apt. 2, Lowell, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
