Defense of the B team set the tone for the day, which saw several players with a multi tackle game.  Brandon Pote and David Avnavoorian lead all defenders with 6 tackles each followed close behind by Zach Weitz, Derek Graffeo and Anthony Medeiros with 4 each.  The passing game was held in check with athletic pass deflections by Joshua Sughrue, Avnavoorian and Graffeo and highlighted by a late game interception by Medeiros.

Special teams played a vital role today as the first score for the Red came late in the afternoon via punt return by all around star Kyle Zervas who returned a booming kick 60yds for a touchdown behind some great blocking by his teammates.

The offense sputtered a bit with the same injury bug as the A squad but found a way to tally enough point s to secure the win.  Showing a determined toughness quarterback Josh Sughrue lead his team to a game winning drive.  Using his arm, legs and some help from runs by Trace Trant, Sughrue handed off to Zervas for the last 3yds for the touchdown leaving no time for the opponent to respond and the victory.

 Division:  Junior

Team:  Comanche
Score:  Mohawks 6 Comanche 0

What a great game today down at the football fields.  Both teams came in to the game today looking for a win after last week loss.  The Comanche team was looking to shut down the aggressive offense of the Mohawks and jumpstart their own Offense this week.  It was a defensive battle all day with the only score coming from a broken play by Shane Aylwood.   The Comanche Defense stood tall all day getting in the backfield and disrupting the Mohawk offense.  They were led by Andrew Farrell and Ryan Keane on the line.  They had great efforts by Nolan Timmons, Colin Bozek, Hunter DeLonais, Kevin Carey and Billy Chase.  Sean Fahey and Sean Phaneuf both played well and controlled the big plays today.  The offense moved the ball but came up short at the end of the game with two incomplete passes to Nolan Timmons from Billy Chase.  There was strong up front blocking by Lucus Tryder, Colin Fullerton, Aaron Connelly, Mike Rosa and Ryan Keane.  Matt Rosemond came in for Hunter DeLonais as Quarterback late in the 4th quarter due to an injury.     This season has been exciting for all teams with many games coming down to the last play of the game.  The Comanche team played with heart today and they are looking forward to next week’s final game against the Cheyenne.  They also would like to thank the Comanche Cheerleaders for a great job cheering today!

 Division:  Junior

Team:  Wamesit

Score:  Cheyenne 13  Wamesit 0

The Wamesit fell to a strong Cheyenne team 13-0 ending their winning streak at three.  After falling behind 6-0 early, the Wamesit would go on a long methodical drive covering 49 yards.  The drive included strong running by Paul Manzi, Matt Houghton, Kyle Darrigo and Nicky Iannacci behind the blocking of Santino Garofalo, Mike Woodford, Robbie Kimtis, Gavin Thomasset, Jack Meuse-Sitar, Jake Forgione, Colin Powers and Jake Forgione.  The drive would come up just short as the Wamesit could not finish with any points.  From that point on the offense had no answers for the swarming Cheyenne defense.  The Wamesit defense did a tremendous job as they were forced to defend a very short field all afternoon.  Zach Hines, Matt Brennan, Aiden Crogan, Jason Elias and Felix Navarrete gave an all-out effort.

Despite the score, the talented Wamesit Cheerleading squad did not quit on the team. Teegan Carter, Lauren Connors, Bianca Garofalo, Paige Harrington, Morgan Lindsey, Gabriella Navarrete, Madison Pierce, Hailey Porier, Shayne O'Neil, Gabriella Ortiz, Mackenzie Reitano, Riann Savoia, Alyssa Souza and Christina Spezzaferro along with coaches Paige Winn, Rose Souza and Dede Somerville did their part, along with the loyal Wamesit fans, to cheer the Wamesit players on.  Congratulations to the Cheyenne for their big win.

 Division:  Junior

Team:  Mohawks

Score:  Mohawks 6 Comanche 0

Summer in October, with the thermometer reaching over 80 degrees, Mohawks and Comanche battled in a low scoring, highly physical game.  The game was spotted with numerous injuries as a result of some clean, hard hitting from both sides.  The offensive highlights included two key perfectly executed completions thrown by QB Shane Aylward to the capable hands of Aiden Doherty.  The first completion resulted in a key first down that kept the drive alive. Two plays later, Shane Aylward scampered thirty yards, avoiding numerous defenders, and eventually finding the end zone, scoring the only points of the game.  Stellar blocking by Danny Flemming, Marc Bradley, and Patrick Flemming to open up holes for the running  backs, Richie Markwarth  and Patrick Letourneau to get much needed yards.  The Mohawk defensive line, Antonio Capello, Ryan Day, Bobby O’Hearn, and Asa Derache were powerful and prevented the Comanche from getting into the backfield.  Asa Derache added much needed pressure to the Comanche with an incredible interception, giving the ball back to the Mohawk offense.  Justin Flynn, Tyler Paulding, Aiden Leffler, Cameron Loder, and Stephen O’Hearn kept the Comanche on their toes, making key tackles and knocking down passes.  Comanche offense was kept off balance by Mohawks, Antonio Capello, Asa Derache, Bobby O’Hearn, Richie Markwarth, and Ryan Day, who were constantly causing havoc in the backfield.  The game ended with a strong defensive stand, resulting in a Mohawk win!
