Many will be at the Prom tonight (May 29) and Graduation is Friday Night (June 1) at the Tsongas Center. But in between, the MIAA has made sure to keep the senior athletes busy.

Seedings for the Division 2 North Regional Tournament were announced earlier today and Tewksbury's softball and baseball teams will both be in action on Thursday.

The softball team posted a 13-7 record, despite losing starting pitcher Shannon McLaughlin to a broken hand. The Redmen are seeded No. 13 in the 17-team tournament and will have to travel to Danvers on Thursday. The game has a 4 p.m. start time.

If Tewksbury can get past Danvers, it would face the winner of the game between No. 5 Amesbury and No. 12 Arlington Catholic in the quarterfinals.

The baseball team was just 7-13 on the season but squeezed into the tournament via the "Sullivan Rule" which counts only the Redmen's games against other Division 2 and 3 schools when calculating their record toward the 50 percent threshold.

The Redmen are seeded No. 16 in the 17-team tournament, which means they will have to play an extra game. However, since that game is against No. 17 Wayland (6-14), it will be played at home at Strong Field on Thursday. Time is TBA.

If they can knock off Wayland, Tewksbury's reward is a second round date with top-seed North Andover (16-4), the team it lost to in the final of the Lawrence Invitational last week.
