Redmen Roundup: North Andover Too Much for Redmen Hoops Teams

Tewksbury High teams fall in season-openers.

Merrimack Valley Conference newcomer North Andover made its presence felt in a big way Tuesday night, sweeping Tewksbury High in boys and girls season-opening basketball action.

The Redmen boys fell, 66-42. Kevin Dick led the way for Tewksbury with 15 points and six rebounds. Kevin Haley chipped with 12 points for the visiting Redmen (0-1).

The story was much the same, at home, for the Redmen girls, who fell behind 23-9 after one quarter and never posed a serious challenge, falling 53-28 to powerhouse North Andover.

Senior Nicole Chaet paced the Redmen (0-1) with 11 points. Nicole Hamel added five points. Leah Chittick led all scorers with 16 points for North Andover.
