Rivalry Game Highlights Final Regular Season Week

Tewksbury boys hockey travels to Wilmington as Redmen team play their final games of the season.

Several Tewksbury teams are gearing up for the playoffs. And one in particular will get a stern test this week during the final week of regular season games when the boys hockey team travels to Wilmington.

The Redmen begin the week with a girls basketball contest on Monday. The Lady Redmen have used a late season charge to vault themselves atop the league standings.

Tewksbury will travel to Lynn for the final day to play in the final of the tournament hosted by St. Mary's. The Redmen toppled Melrose on Sunday to earn its place in the finals.

On Tuesday, the boys basketball team hopes to improve its own playoff positioning. The team clinched a playoff spot on Friday with a drubbing of Dracut on the road.

In its final regular season contest, the team welcomes Wilmington to town. The game was slated to take place in Burlington but was moved as the Wildcats are having their gym demolished. Tip off comes at 7 p.m.

The final, and most anticipated, game of the week comes on Wednesday. Tewksbury travels to Ristuccia Arena to battle defending Division 2 state champion Wilmington.

The annual contest which kicks off at 8 p.m., is traditionally a fast paced and hard hitting affair. With both teams primed for playoff runs, this year's tilt should be no exception.

Thanks for the heads up, TMHSGrad! The game was not listed on the schedule, I'm guessing because it could be a make up game? Appreciate the info.
