Last fall the Tewksbury Memorial High School football team earned a state championship. Recently, the Redmen were rewarded for their performance.

At the beginning of December, Tewksbury throttled Plymouth South by a 42-14 margin to earn the Division 3 crown.

Earlier this month, the team made the trip to the State House as guests of Rep. James Miceli, Rep. James Lyons, and Sen. Barry Finegold, according to a press release from Miceli.

Gov. Deval Patrick met with the team during their trip, which also included head coach Bryan Aylward, athletics director Brian Hickey, and families of the players.
