Tewksbury Sharp Shooters Win Free Throw Contest

According to an announcement on Patch, the winners were crowned last weekend.

A handful of local hoopsters recently showed off their skills during the annual free throw contest hosted by the Tewksbury Knights of Columbus.

According to an announcement on Patch, the contest was held on Sunday at Dewing Elementary School for children from 9 to 14 years old.

In total, about 20 participants from Tewksbury and the surrounding area toed the line and grabbed a basketball as they tried to make as many free throws as possible.

  • Nine-year-old boys - Aiden Crogan
  • Ten-year-old boys - Rory Power
  • Eleven-year-old boys - Domenic Cohen
  • Twelve-year-old girls - Amber Matas
  • Twelve-year-old boys - Ryan Meuse
  • Thirteen-year-old boys - Brandon Melo
  • Fourteen-year-old boys - Danny Priest
Thewinners will move on the regional competition on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Knights of Columbus in Andover.
