As a team, the Tewksbury/Methuen girls hockey team's performance has been impressive. And individually, Amanda Conway's performance has been historic.

The standout junior forward scored five goals on Wednesday night in a 7-3 victory over Wayland/Weston, giving her 60 on the year. That total is good for the all-time Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association record, according to the Boston Globe.

The newspaper reported that Conway's total pushed her past the record of 56 set by Watertown/Melrose's Andrea Ciarletta in the 2002-03 season.

“It’s amazing,” Conway said, according to the Boston Globe. “But I can only thank my team for being there for me.”

Tewksbury/Methuen will finish off an impressive regular season on Thursday night. The team is 18-1-0 overall and 12-0-0 in league play. The team closes out against Andover on Thursday at 5:20 p.m.
