Warriors Drop A Shootout With Revere

Derrah's 32 points not enough in 81-63 loss.

Tewksbury (Warriors) vs. Revere

The 8th grade ‘A’ Wamesit Warriors from Tewksbury lost a high-scoring contest to Revere, by a final of 81-63.

Turnovers on offense were the difference. Despite picking up a fourth foul to start the second half, limiting his minutes, Justin Derrah scored 32 points, to go along with double-figure rebounds.

Ryan Briggs hot shooting, including three 3-point baskets, and 16 total points, helped keep things close, but it wasn’t enough.

Other Warrior players getting into the scoring column were Brady Rodgers with 4 points, Devan Bere and Jack Theriault each with a 3-point jumper, Andrew White with a strong drive to the basket for 2 points, and Josh Asselin and Conner McLean knocking down free-throws.

Nick Dunlap and Briggs led the fast break early, pushing the ball up the floor, leading to easy baskets in transition. Ryan Bain made his presence felt on the boards.
