Giant Yard Sale, National Night Out Scheduled At Senior Center

A Giant Yard Sale will be held at this Saturday, July 21st from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, rain or shine. The public is welcomed. Besides all the treasures to be found on the yard tables, the event will also feature a yummy bake table and luncheon specials.

Those who participate in the Wednesday afternoon Gentle Yoga class are reminded that class will not be held next week on July 25th.

DJ Jon Mansfield will be at the Senior Center on Monday, July 30th for an afternoon dance. Tickets are $6 per person. Those purchasing tickets by July 25th will have lunch included.

A “National Night Out Against Crime” will be held at the Senior Center on Tuesday, August 7th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM by the Tewksbury Police Department. This event is for the whole family and promises to be a great time. More details will soon be available.

The Men's Group meets again next Thursday, July 26th in the crafts room at 9:00 AM. All are welcome to join.

Tickets are available at the Senior Center for the following day trips:

• Friday, July 27th – Bristol, RI at $51. Please note that one must sign up and make payment for this trip by next Tuesday the 25th. This trip includes a buffet luncheon, an hour guided tour of Bristol and a guided tour of Linden Place, Bristol's “Great House” where generations of seafaring DeWolfs, Colts and Barrymore's entertained presidents and politicos.
• August 9th – Foxwood day trip at $21. This trip includes transportation and a casino package.
• Wednesday, August 15th – Boston Duck Tour and the Prudential Building $59. This trip includes the famous Boston Duck Tour, a voucher for lunch at the Prudential Food Court, admission to the Prudential Skywalk Observation and a group photo.
• Tuesday, August 28th – Fast Ferry to Provincetown (upon request) $85. Departure time is early at 7:00 AM. Travel the Fast Ferry and arrive in P-Town at 10:00 AM for a day on your own with a five hour stay. Departure for home from P-Town is promptly at 3:00 PM.

The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society will bring Low cost spay/neuter services to Tewksbury in August. Its “Catmobile” will be stationed at the Senior Center Parking lot on Thursday, August 18th. The program offers services to cats only. The package consists of spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, exam, nail trim, treatment for fleas and ear mites. A spay package cost $100 and a neuter package $75. Through August, a special rate of $50 for kittens 4 months of age and younger is available. The package is available to anyone and there is no qualification process. However, RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED and can be made online at www.catmobile.org or by calling 978-465-1940.
