Tewksbury Kicks Off Day One of Fourth of July Festivities

Festivities included a pie eating contest, free throw contest, backwards race and more.


Tewksbury residents turned out to the Livingston Street recreation area on Independence Day to partake in games, contests and to start off their holiday weekend right. 

Kids participated in free throw contests, pie eating contests, decorated doll carriage contests and more. 

There were free hotdogs and ice cream served by the Tewksbury/Wilmington Lodge of Elks.

The Tewksbury Republican Town Committee had a tent set up, and were passing out free copies of the Constitution. 

Festivities in Tewksbury will continue tomorrow at 7 p.m. with live entertainment and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
