NASHUA, NH - Patricia “Pat” Catherine (Griffin) Griffin, age 86, of Nashua NH, formerly of Tewksbury, MA, died  peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Langdon Place of Nashua.  She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Griffin Sr., the former Principal at Tewksbury’s Junior High School.

She was born to the late Gerald and Josephine (Aubut) Griffin,  April 8, 1927, in Lowell, MA.    Pat graduated from Lowell High School in 1946.    She married Richard in 1958, and they raised their family together in Tewksbury, MA.   She was a store clerk for Liggett’s Drug Store in Lowell for many years until she moved to Tewksbury and became a fulltime homemaker.  In her later years she was a home health aide for Family Service of Greater Lowell until her retirement in 1998. As a resident of Tewksbury, she was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in W. Andover.

After her husband died, she relocated to Nashua NH in 2006.  She loved spending time with her whole family and was so proud of her children and grandchildren.   She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved to read a good book, satisfy her sweet tooth and talk about the latest news and politics.

Pat is survived by three children;  daughter and son-in-law Karen and Daniel  Mack of Hudson, NH;  son Richard E. Griffin Jr of Tewksbury, MA; and daughter and son-in-law Drs. Kathleen and William Brady of Philadelphia, PA; her five grandchildren;  Jeffrey, Sarah, and Kyle Mack; Griffin and Donovan Brady.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Langdon Place of Nashua for their excellent care and compassion and a special thank you to Sol Amor Hospice for their support during her recent illness.

Visiting hours Sunday, Feb. 9, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.  Her funeral will begin Monday, Feb. 10, at 9:45 from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett’s Pond Rd., W. Andover.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.  tewksburyfuneralhome.com
