Ronald P. LeBlond

…retired from Raytheon; 80

TEWKSBURY - Ronald P. LeBlond, age 80, a retired mechanical engineer, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 2, surrounded by his family, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.  He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Tapsott) LeBlond, with whom he had celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary this past Valentine’s Day, February 14th.

He was born in Sanford, Maine, July 17, 1933, the only child of Lorenzo and Irene (Pelletier) LeBlond, and was raised in Somersworth, NH.  He graduated from Somersworth High School, and matriculated to the University of New Hampshire, where he graduated with the Class of 1958, as a mechanical engineer.  He had lived in Tewksbury since 1966.

Mr. LeBlond retired from Raytheon’s Missile Systems Division in Andover as a Radar engineer.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin R. and Georgia (Mazzone) LeBlond of Westford; two grandchildren, Christina Rayborn and Roxanne Charlton; and two great grandchildren, Natalie and Nicholas Charlton.

Visiting hours Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main St. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, ph (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.
