Final Attendance Figures Announced for Stanley Cup Visit

The numbers are in and they are impressive.

A total of 1,531 fans passed through the to see the Stanley Cup on Saturday, according to TCC Controller Kathy Bligh.

At the request of Boston Bruins Equipment Manager Keith Robinson, a Tewksbury native, the funds will go to the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund and the Greg Hill Foundation, both of which assist the families of soldiers killed in action.

Bligh said she estimates that there were another 1,500 fans in the parking lot of the TCC, who did not get to view the Cup in the TCC ballroom. However, as he was leaving, Robinson carried the Cup through the parking lot, giving those fans a chance catch a quick glimpse.

After leaving the TCC, Robinson brought the Cup to Kensington, NH, where he presently lives with his family. However, according to Patch reader Kevin Grant, Robinson made a brief stop before heading out of town.

Grant posted the following on the Tewksbury Patch Facebook Page:

"hats off to Keith Robinson! he made a quick stop at my neighbors house. Rachel just had major surgery and needed a pick me up. nice job Keith!"
