If you're a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch customer, this weekend might be the perfect time to take in some culture in Boston and beyond, for free.

As part of the bank's "Museums on Us" program, people with a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card get free admission to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, as well as the MIT Museum in Cambridge, the American Textile History Museum in Lowell, the Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton (closed Sundays), the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum and the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton.

Here are the details: Simply present your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to any participating institution, the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month. Cardholders only; guests (including non-cardholding children) are not eligible for free admission. Program excludes fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows. Not to be combined with other offers.
