I was at the Tavern on Saturday..tried to call ahead for a reservation ( large party of 8)- was told over the phone that they don't accept reservations...first thing we were asked was do you have a RESERVATION? The hostess informed us it would be a 20 minute wait and suggested we sit outside and enjoy a drink and the weather..
After 20 minutes no wait staff insight I took a drink order and headed into the bar... the bartender was obviously frustrated and behind ...she mutter something about frozen drinks and sangrias killing her ... It took forever to get 2 beers,1 mixed drink and 3 soda's(long enough to know that a near bye table had been waiting 30 minutes for their dinners - they suggested that we go elsewhere before we ordered!) We waited outside for a bit longer and then were seated. The tavern was unbearably hot - we asked our server to have management turn on the fans . After nothing happened a member of our party approached the manager directly.. and the air was turned on as were the fans...the wait staff member stated she had asked the manger and she said no. I personally ordered the fajita salad which looked nothing like the video on the site it looked more like it had been dropped on the floor!! I was extremely disappointed with my overall dining experience. All of these issues are small and easily fixed . I sincerely hope that things improve perhaps my next visit will be better.

Wow Went Monday 04/16/12 and the new section of the lounge is open! It is very open, bright and has a great view out onto the ninth hole. Food was very good. Had the steak and sausage over pasta special. For only $10.00 you couldn't go wrong. There appears to be some new staff as well. When you are seated it seems like you are so far from the bar that you forget about it. You should have seen everyone turn their heads when the manager turned on the player baby grand piano. It is certainly worth checking out!!!

My wife and I have enjoyed eating there many times. When the weather is nice we take advantage of eating out on the patio. It's very relaxing to eat on the patio and enjoy the golf course. We have always had good service and the prices are a little high, but reasonable when you add in the surroundings.
I went back to TCC 2 weeks ago for dinner and experienced the same poor service...borderline rude. The food and the ambiance are great. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they don't get rid of some of these poor servers. One lady in particular has been there for years and she is unpleasant and inattentive on her best days.

Food is very good...service is consistently poor. I keep going back hoping the service will be better but I am always disappointed.
I would come here from time to time over the 3yrs I have lived in Lowell, MA. The food was great and the servers were of the same quality. I recently went there on a Saturday and it was busy. The food took about 30min and all we ordered was a few sandwiches that were recommended by our server because they were quick and delicious. the food wasn't all that great this time and the "steak cut fries" as well as the onion rings seemed like they had been sitting out as long as we had been waiting for them. I feel they have bitten off more than they can chew, the tavern was fine when it was smaller and cozy.
