Working cooperatively with the Historical Commission, the Tewksbury Historical Society works tirelessly to preserve local history. Members also give of their time to teach residents, particularly schoolchildren, about their proud local heritage. The society meets weekly in the "History Room," which is on the second floor of the Tewksbury Public Library. Formed more than a decade ago, the society has been enjoying strong growth in membership recently. Under the leadership of President David Marcus, along with a dedicated executive committee, the society offers programs throughout the year that are both educational and entertaining.
