Tewksbury Hospital Equestrian (T.H.E.) Farm is located off Livingston Street on the campus of Tewksbury Hospital. Although T.H.E. Farm has a strong connection to the hospital, it operates independently. T.H.E. Farm is a rehabilitation facility that makes horses and riding lessons part of the treatment process for patients with physical, emotional or psychiatric disabilities. Approximately 200 volunteers lend their help to the small staff. Many of horses used at T.H.E. Farm are retired from careers in show or dressage competition. The facility also offers beginner riding lessons to non-patients.
