I love my book club. We have been meeting for about 15 years. As guidelines: fiction and deadRead More authors. We read the books we were too young to read when we read them. The hostess chooses the book, but usually has two to recommend. We also read (see above) Angle of Repose, last month Anna Karenina, and this month: Frankenstein.

One note: in the library and in the schools, the term Beginner Readers actually refer to books likeRead More Green Eggs and Ham and Fly Guy which are specifically written with a controlled vocabulary for children just learning how to read or practicing how to read fluently. Hopefully that won't be confusing since something like the Jack Stalwart books weigh in at well over 100 pages and are meant for children just starting to read chapter books in 2nd or 3rd grade or so, not for children just learning to read.

Malcolm, I wouldn't necessarily call a small tattoo as an unwise decision. I agree if it wasRead More covering half of your body, but it doesn't seem to be incredibly noticeable. If an employer was mainly judging candidates by trying to find someone who had no tattoos, he or she would need to revisit hiring policies.
