The following information was provided by the Tewksbury Police Department: The Tewksbury Police Department is on the lookout. They are looking to reward young people “caught” wearing their bike helmets with gift certificates. These certificates can be redeemed at the local McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Papa Gino’s, Orange Leaf, Friendly’s, The Pushcart, or a Spinner’s game. We are really excited to reintroduce this program again this year to raise awareness and hopefully increase helmet use in Town. Mary C. Hobal was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly attacking another woman and her boyfriend.
Wilmington and Tewksbury Police combined to search for and arrest a woman after an alleged attack early Tuesday morning. According to the Tewksbury police log, 911 dispatch received a call from a resident on Oak Street at 12:54 a.m. on Tuesday. The caller told police that another woman entered her home, attacked her and subsequently attacked her boyfriend. Following the alleged attack, the resident said the woman left in a red Jeep and began traveling towards Wilmington, where the caller said she lives. Tewksbury officers were unable to locate the party in question in the area, and called Wilmington Police to check their town. Winds are expected to pick up to at least 30 mph in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service is warning of the potential for brush fires in the area Thursday afternoon and night. Counties across Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Rhode Island are under the fire warning. Winds are expected to pick up to at least 30 mph in the afternoon. The wind coupled with “low relative humidities” will cause the risk of fire, according to the NWS.

A Wal-Mart employee reported that a woman was stealing baby formula on Sunday, May 12, at 7:49 p.m. The caller attempted to stop the woman, but she fled the parking lot in her vehicle. Did you see this pig roaming around the area of Whipple Road on Tuesday?
The above picture was submitted by reader Colleen Cadger, who captured this pig roaming around the area of Whipple Road in Tewksbury. The pig was roaming around loose, according to Cadger, backing up traffic. Deputy Chief John Voto said the Tewksbury Police Department received call reporting an "enormous pig" loose in the area of Whipple Road at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
