The deadline has passed, nomination papers have been submitted and certified and the ballot is now set for the 2013 Tewksbury Municipal Election. According to information provided by the Town Clerk's office, of those candidates who took out nomination papers, the only person not to turn them in was Robert Rosa, who had taken out papers for the Board of Selectmen. In all, there will be five contested races in the April 6 Election. Here is a breakdown of all the contests: Board of Selectmen: With Ann-Marie Stronach opting not to seek re-election, the gates were opened wide and a six-person race has developed for two seats. The first week of the 2013 Tewksbury Municipal Election season has started off with a bang. Four candidates have already taken out nomination papers in the race for the Board of Selectman and a fifth candidate has expressed his intentions to do so. Incumbent Todd Johnson, along with potential challengers Robert Rosa, Mary Ellen Fernald and Ken Miano took out nomination papers this week, according to Town Clerk Denise Graffeo. Fernald is a former member of the Board of Health, having lost her seat on that board last year.
