Tewksbury Man Indicted For Armed Robbery, Assault

Suspect allegedly stabbed a man while trying to steal several I-Phones.

A 36-year-old Tewksbury man is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly trying to steal several I-Phones at knifepoint and stabbing the victim during the robbery. The Office of Middlesex County District Attorney Gerry Leone announced last week that Brian Saber, 36, of 33 Bay State Ave., was indicted by a Grand Jury on charges of armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Saber is due to be arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn on April 4. According to Wilmington Police reports, the alleged crimes stemmed from a Craig's List sale gone bad. The victim told police he had purchased five I-phones on Ebay and was looking to sell them on Craig's List for $690 each. He said Saber contacted him by phone and said he…

Transit Cop from Tewksbury Foils Charlestown Armed Robbery

Officer Matthew Donovan was in the right place at the right time.

Sometimes police work is about being in the right place at the right time. Such was the case for Transit Police officer Matthew Donovan, a 29-year-old Tewksbury resident. On Saturday, Jan. 5, at around 5:30 p.m., Donovan entered a Dunkin Donuts at 99 Cambridge St. in Charlestown and came across a robbery in progress. According to his report, Donovan initially heard a man, later identified as Michael Wallace, screaming at the cashiers that they hadn't given him enough change and saw him leaning over the counter in a threatening manner. Donovan, who was in uniform and on duty, stepped in to defuse the situation. Wallace calmed down but Donovan wrote that the cashier told him the situation was actually a robbery. Wendy's Restaurant Robbed, Police Seek Knife-Wielding Suspect

Tewksbury Police reach out to public for help in tracking down suspect.

Tewksbury Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed the Wendy's Restaurant on andover Street Monday afternoon. According to Tewksbury Police, a man walked into Wendy's at around 4 p.m. on Monday, held a knife to the cashier and demanded money. The report did not indicate how much money he took with him when he fled the restaurant. The suspect is described as a white male in his early twenties approximately 5’10” wearing a blue baseball hat, black sunglasses, and tan windbreaker. State Police arrested two individuals in Tewksbury in connection with an armed robbery earlier in the day in Lawrence.

Two men were arrested in Tewksbury on Tuesday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery earlier in the day in Lawrence. The men were arrested by State Police after their car was pulled over on Route 495 near the Route 38 exit. Joseph Brodie, 43, of Merrimack, N.H., is charged with armed robbery with a firearm, armed assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended. Ein Nickerson, 29, of Nashua, N.H., has been charged with with armed robbery with a firearm, armed assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery. Tewksbury Man Indicted By Grand Jury For Armed Robbery

Suspect is also charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

A 22-year-old Tewksbury faces two felony charges in connection with a convenience store robbery after being indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury last week. Jacob Murray, 10 Charme Road, was indicted on charges of armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Investigators believe Murray is the man who robbed the Tewksbury Convenient Food Mart, 158 Shawsheen St. on April 29, 2011. Tewksbury Police received a break in the case when they received a tip from a prison in Missouri. Police Seek Public's Help In Finding Armed Robbery Suspect

Suspect allegedly accosted victim at a South Tewksbury ATM and forced her to empty her bank account.

Tewksbury Police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a man who allegedly robbed a woman at a South Tewksbury ATM on Monday. According to a press release issued by Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, the incident took place just before 5 p.m. at the Stoneham Bank, 2171 Main St. The victim told police that the man approached her car while she was at the drive-thru ATM at the bank. The man displayed a dark-colored handgun and demanded that the woman empty her bank account. According to Sheehan, the woman withdrew an undisclosed amount of money and handed it over to the man. He then told her to leave before he escaped behind the building. The suspect is described as being a white male, between 5'8 and 6'0 tall, with dark hair, …

Prison Tip Leads To Arrest Of Tewksbury Man In Armed Robbery

Local man arrested in connection with 2011 convenience store robbery.

The Tewksbury Police got a bit of long-distance help this week to help crack a year-old armed robbery case. Acting on information provided by officials at a Missouri jail, Tewksbury officers arrested Jacob Murray, 22, of 10 Charme Road, Tewksbury on Wednesday, March 28. He is accused of committing an armed robbery that occurred on April 29, 2011 at the Tewksbury Convenient Food Mart, 158 Shawsheen St. Murray was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in Lowell District Court. According to Tewksbury Police reports, the store clerk was approached by the suspect who demanded money. The suspect then motioned to his pocket suggesting to the clerk that he was armed with a gun. Police Ask Public For Help In Identifying Armed Robber

Masked man hit Tewksbury Convenient Mart Tuesday night.

Tewksbury Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery at a Shawsheen Street convenience store Tuesday night. According to the police report a man walked into the Tewksbury Convenient Mart located at 160 Shawsheen St. at about 8:30 p.m., approached the store cashier with a knife and demanded money. The cashier handed over an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect fled the scene on foot. According to the report, "the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’00, medium build, wearing a dark hooded jacket, gloves, red hat, and a bandana over his face." Craig's List Rapist Is Sentenced

Middlesex Superior Court Judge Kathe Tuttman sentenced Reinaldo Prado, of Framingham, for crimes committed in Tewksbury and Burlington.

A Framingham man has been sentenced after being found guilty of aggravated rape against one female victim and armed robbery charges and intimidation of a witness against three female victims he solicited from Craig’s List, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said in a press release. Reinaldo Prado, 30, of Framingham, was found guilty by a Middlesex Superior Court jury on Sept. 26 on charges of aggravated rape, armed robbery (three counts), and intimidation of a witness (three counts).  He was found not guilty of 2 of the 3 counts of aggravated rape and 3 counts of indecent assault and battery.  Tuesday, Middlesex Superior Court Judge Kathe Tuttman sentenced the defendant to nine to twelve years in state prison on the aggravated rape …
