Mary C. Hobal was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly attacking another woman and her boyfriend.
Wilmington and Tewksbury Police combined to search for and arrest a woman after an alleged attack early Tuesday morning. According to the Tewksbury police log, 911 dispatch received a call from a resident on Oak Street at 12:54 a.m. on Tuesday. The caller told police that another woman entered her home, attacked her and subsequently attacked her boyfriend. Following the alleged attack, the resident said the woman left in a red Jeep and began traveling towards Wilmington, where the caller said she lives. Tewksbury officers were unable to locate the party in question in the area, and called Wilmington Police to check their town. Sometimes it pays to get involved. Just after midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 10, police received a call from a resident on Lee Street. The man said he had just seen a suspicious person, dressed all in black, running from an abandoned home at 17 Lee St. Police responded to the scene and the caller told them that he saw the suspect drop something white onto the ground as he ran away. It turned out to be a bag. Officers checked out the bag and discovered that it contained freshly stripped copper wire. Officers checked the residence and were able to confirm that a breaking and entering and a larceny had occurred. Detectives were called to the scene. A Wilmington woman has been charged with drunk driving in connection with an accident that shut down a section of Main Street for several hours on Sunday. Victoria Anne Lacount, 32, of 6 Bond St., faces charges of OUI-liquor, marked lanes violations and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The accident took place just before 1 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of Hinkley Road and Main Street. A resident of Hinkley Road called 911 and told police he heard tires screeching and multiple loud "bangs" just before his home lost power. Tewksbury Police officers responded to the scene and found a vehicle, allegedly driven by Lacount, had struck a utility pole, breaking it in two and bringing the pole and live wires into the street. Police receive tip after surveillance photos are published.
A Tewksbury man was arrested Friday after the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force identified him as the prime suspect in bank robberies in two communities. Kenneth Kelley, 33, of 45 Highland Ave., has been charged with unarmed robbery in connection the robbery of the RTN Federal Credit Union in Tewksbury on Sept. 16. He is also expected to be charged in connection with the robbery of the Winchester Savings Bank in Woburn on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Ironically, the break in the case seems to have come from surveillance images from a bank that was not robbed. Tewksbury resident allegedly had three unlicensed guns in his Kimberly Road home.
A Tewksbury man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly pointing a handgun at a 2-year-old and his mother. Stefan Berg, 25, of 6 Kimberly Road, was arrested Thursday night (Oct. 20) after being pulled over by Tewksbury Police while driving his Lexus on East Street by Leston Street. According to a press release issued by Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, the incident began Thursday at around 8:15 p.m., when police received a call alleging that Berg had just pointed a gun at his 31-year-old sister-in-law and her two-year-old son after an argument in Berg's home. Middlesex Superior Court Judge Kathe Tuttman sentenced Reinaldo Prado, of Framingham, for crimes committed in Tewksbury and Burlington.
A Framingham man has been sentenced after being found guilty of aggravated rape against one female victim and armed robbery charges and intimidation of a witness against three female victims he solicited from Craig’s List, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said in a press release. Reinaldo Prado, 30, of Framingham, was found guilty by a Middlesex Superior Court jury on Sept. 26 on charges of aggravated rape, armed robbery (three counts), and intimidation of a witness (three counts). He was found not guilty of 2 of the 3 counts of aggravated rape and 3 counts of indecent assault and battery. Suspect Alleged hit man twice with his car and drove with him on the hood.
A Lawrence man is facing attempted murder charges after a bizarre road rage incident that began near the Andover town line and ended on the grounds of Tewksbury State Hospital. Hermenes Rosa, 23, of 149 Myrtle St, Lawrence, was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly striking a man with his vehicle twice in the parking lot of the hospital, driving a distance with the victim on the hood each time. A Tewksbury man has been indicted on charges alleging that he assaulted his girlfriend, violated a restraining order, and threw two Molotov cocktails at her car. According to a press release issued by District Attorney Gerry Leone, Carlo Huacon, 24, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60, stalking in violation of a restraining order, destruction of property over $250, violation of an abuse prevention order (3 counts), assault and battery, possession of an infernal machine (4 counts), and burning personal property. Motor vehicle stop leads to drug bust.
A Tewksbury man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly holding a woman against her will and assaulting her in a hotel room. Thomas J. McLoughlin, 43, of 45 Judith E Drive, was arrested at the Marriott Towne Place Suites on Friday afternoon. Details were limited over the weekend, but according to the police, the incident began when Police Dispatch received a call from a desk clerk at the hotel Friday at 1:45 p.m. The desk clerk had been notified by a guest that there was a possible domestic disturbance going on in one of the rooms. Four police units responded to Room 207 and found McLaughlin and another person. As a result of an investigation, McLaughlin was placed under arrest.
