Calling All Artists -- Entries Sought For Annual Art Show

Event Scheduled for Oct. 7-8 at Wynn Middle School.

The Tewksbury Community of Artists is putting out a call for entries for the annual Tewksbury Annual Art Festival, Oct. 7-8, at the Wynn Middle School. Entries are limited to 4 pieces of art per person at no charge for Members of TCA, and 3 pieces of art per person at $5 per piece for Non-Members (adults only). The deadline to submit an application for adults is Sept. 30. Students may enter any type of art for a chance to win a ribbon in this judged show. Entries are limited to 2 pieces of art for Non-Member students, and 3 pieces of art for student Members of TCA. There is no charge for students to enter the Art Festival. Amazing Artistic Talent on Display at TMHS

District Art Show features work from hundreds of Tewksbury students.

When it comes to artistic talent, Tewksbury has more than its fair share. Last weekend, hundreds of talented young artists from throughout the school system, had their work on display at the District Art Show at Tewksbury High School. Numerous artists were honered, including Rena Ruggiero and Emily Parker, who were honored with Best of Show ribbons. The first night of the show also featured a performance by the TMHS Band. Editor Bill Gilman was on hand Saturday and captured these images.

Showcase of Creativity Friday at Senior Center

This Friday, May 6th, Older Americans Day, the COA will hold its Annual “Showcase of Creativity” Art Show at the Senior Center from 5:00 to 8:00 PM - another opportunity to see the wonderful art pieces created by our senior Artisans and their instructors. There will be various mediums displayed: paintings, wood carvings, embroidery, quilting, crafts, work in progress, demonstrations by our instructors and students and of course music and refreshments. The public is welcome. Admission is free. A hearty note of thanks is extended to all those who volunteered and assisted in the Board of Health “Health and Wellness Fair” this past Wednesday.
