UPDATED: 'Rampage Ed' Leads Redmen Into Playoffs

Eddie Matovu and the Redmen are one win away from playing in a second consecutive Super Bowl.

Bill Belichick would love Eddie Matovu. The kid plays offense, defense, and special teams, and has become one of the best playmakers on a Tewksbury High football team that’s on the last leg of a special season. Born in Uganda, the 6-foot-1, 195 lb. Matovu helped Tewksbury beat Wilmington 18-6 in the 78th Thanksgiving Day meeting between the Redmen and Wildcats. “This was our biggest game of the year,” Matvou said after the game. “It’s great to go home on Thanksgiving with a win." Tewksbury, elated to have a healthy Matovu during the home-stretch, will try to go back to the Division 2 Super Bowl when they face Reading High (11-0) in a playoff rematch on Tuesday. Hazing Horrors Of Andover Not Likely At Tewksbury High [poll]

Hickey says strong coaches, strong policies have kept hazing from being a problem among the Redmen.

It was a story that first shocked and then sickened parents, students and fans of high school sports. Last month, a report leaked that _upperclassmen on the Andover High basketball team had allegedly forced two underclassmen on the team to engage in sexual acts,_ then forced one of the players to eat a cookie covered in sexual bodily fluid. The actions allegedly took place during a out-of-town basketball camp members o the team attended over the summer. It was allegedly part of a "hazing ritual for new players on the team. Hazing is not only banned by the MIAA, it is illegal in Massachusetts and many other states. This fall, a member of a college band at a school in Florida died during a hazing ritual. Demetriou, DMD Red Sox 20 Lauren Eyssallenne got the first hit of the 2011 season, Hannah Knoops went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 1 run scored, Jamie Quintiani also had a good night going 2 for 2 with1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Christina Spezzaferro pitched 2 solid innings with 2 K's and a put out at first. McKesson Corp.
