UPDATED: A Novel Café Set To Open Monday

Local independent bookstore offers reading, food, warm experience.

Look for a new store to open Monday at 464 Main St. in Tewksbury. A Novel Café, the brainchild of Marc and Leisa Ginsburg, is an independent bookstore and coffee shop. Apart from a selection of books and magazines, the location also will have a gift shop and a café. It was Leisa Ginsburg's love of reading and the lack of independent bookstores in Tewksbury that prompted her to pursue opening her own bookshop. The closest independent bookstore is in Andover. Though a neighboring town, it still involves a decent drive during busy parts of the day. "I'm a big reader, but my daughter is a really big reader," she said. As with everything the Ginsburgs do, this venture is a credit to the community. The renovation has made this site better than it has ever been in the 24 years I have lived in Tewksbury. Best wishes for it to be a resounding success. I know I will be a customer.   more ›
