But Lowell battled back, cutting the lead to 2-1 with a goal two minutes into the second half. The Raiders pressed the advantage and kept the Redmen back on their heels much of the last 10 minutes of the game. Redmen Daily Roundup: Volleyballers Top Haverhill, Boys Soccer Falls

Volleyball team moves one win closer to MVC Div. 2 crown; boys soccer falls to Methuen, 3-2.

Tewksbury High volleyball coach Jim Ray breathed a huge sigh of relief around 6:30 Friday evening. Ray's fears were unfounded. The red hot TMHS volleyballers came out blazing in all three sets, building big leads early on and coasting to a 3-0 win over the Hillies that improves Tewksbury's record to 10-4 on the year. "They (Haverhiill) really took it to Notre Dame in their last game and I was worried they would do the same to us," Ray said. "They still had a chance to make the state tournament if they beat us. "I expected them …
