Suspicious Package Forces The Evacuation of Walmart

Hundreds of holiday shoppers got a dose of humbug on Tuesday (Dec. 11) when a mysterious package forced the evacuation of Walmart. Tewksbury Police received a call at 4:34 p.m. from a person reporting a suspicious package on the ground at the retail store on Route 38. The caller said the package was a styrofoam container inside a box and another box. The Fire Department responded to the scene and the State Police Bomb Squad was called in. The store was evacuated at around 5 p.m. The store was re-opened when it was determined the boxes did not contain an explosive device. Arrests: Anne M. Third Suspect Nabbed In Whipple Road Burglary

First two suspects were arrested on Dec. 4.

Tewksbury Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the burglary of a home at 666 Whipple Road earlier in the week. Joseph Gagnon, 33, of 381 Hildreth St, Apt 307, Lowell was identified as a suspect on Thursday, Dec. 6. A warrant was obtained for his arrest and with the assistance of the Lowell Police he was arrested at 3 p.m. the same day. Gagnon is charged with Breaking and Entering, Larceny over $250, and Conspiracy.  He was arraigned at Lowell District Court on Friday.  The home at 666 Whipple Road was broken into just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4. The two other suspects, Shawn Keefe and Erica Ruane were apprehended later that same night.

Security System Helps Police Nail Whipple Road Burglars

Two suspects in custody, a third is sought.

With an assist from a home security system, Tewksbury Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a burglary on Whipple Road, Tuesday afternoon. Erica Ruane, 25, 15 Cannongate Road, Tyngsborough and Shawn P. Keefe, 32, 234 Stackpole Street, Lowell, are each charged with Breaking and Entering in the Daytime to commit a Felony, Larceny over $250 and Conspiracy. According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, the incident began around 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, when officers responded to a residential alarm at 666 Whipple Road and found that someone had made forced entry into the residence.  A search of the area was conducted by the Tewksbury Police K-9 unit but it was determined that the suspect or suspects were no longer in…

Tewksbury Police Issue Code Red For Attempted House Break on Whipple Road

Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate suspect.

Tewksbury Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a suspect who attempted to break into a home at 666 Whipple Road Tuesday afternoon. The attempted burglary took place at approximately 2 p.m., according to a Code Red alert issued by Tewksbury Police. Any resident who witnessed a suspicious individual or vehicle in that neighborhood around that time is asked to call the Tewksbury Police at 978-851-7355.

Not sure if I agree with you about the cops.. I always see them on Whipple! And I saw them out with the K9 the other night after the cars were broken into over there.. and they arrested all 3 of these scumbags within a couple days of the crime.. not sure what else you want them to do? Three Residents Arrested For Assault; Car Breaks Investigated

Three residents were arrested for assault and battery in separate incidents over the Thanksgiving Weekend. On Saturday, Nov. 24, a woman called police at 1 a.m. and said she'd received a call from the victim of an assault. Based on information provided by the caller, police went to an address on Trull Brook Lane. After an investigation, Michael Fitzpatrick, 43, 53 Trull Brook Lane, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. On Saturday, Nov. 24 at 1:10 a.m., police received a 911 call regarding a disturbance between a man and two women. Tewksbury Woman Reports Break-in, Assault

Tewksbury Police are hunting for a man who broke into a home on Chandler Street Friday evening, Nov. 9, and assaulted the homeowner. According to a Tewskbury Police report, the woman called police at 6:18 p.m. to report the break-in and assault. She described the man as being around 25 years old, wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt. She also said he had a bad complexion. Several officers responded to the scene. The victim was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus to be treated for her injuries. Break-in on Quail Run A homeowner on Quail Run called police at around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 to report a break-in. Alleged Drunk Driver Tools Around Ocean State Parking Lot

An alleged drunk driver made her situation considerably worse when she chose not to cooperate with the arresting police officer. According to a Tewksbury Police report, dispatch received a call on Saturday, Oct. 27, reporting a silver Toyota driving around the Ocean State Job Lot parking lot. According to the caller, there were two women in the car and when they stopped to ask a question, it appeared the two were intoxicated. Officers were sent to the scene and the car was pulled over the car at Main Street and Old Main Street. Tewksbury Man Charged With String of Burglaries

Tewksbury Police crack string of break-ins in the Pringle Street neighborhood.

When Tewksbury Police were searching for a suspect in string of burglaries in the Pringle Street area, they didn't have to look too far. On Saturday, Police arrested William A Medugno, 23, of 18 Pringle St, in connection with the crime spree. According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, TPD Detectives developed leads during the investigation, which led them to identify Medugno as a suspect. On Saturday, officers went to his residence to question him. However, when officers arrived, they saw Medugno fleeing the house out the back door. Motel Snake Bite, Stolen Grease Buckets and More Burglaries

At around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, Tewksbury Police received a call from a man in Room 241 at the Motel Caswell, who reported that his two-year-old daughter had just been bitten in the calf by a snake. The man said the snake has slithered under the bed in the room and that he was unable to capture it. Officers and medical personnel responded to the scene. An officer was able to capture what he described as a "small, garden snake" and released it outside. The young girl was treated at the scene but did not require hospitalization. Theft is clear. Suspect Flees But Can't Evade Police K-9 Geox

A Tewksbury ex-con is facing multiple new charges, including breaking and entering, after fleeing a traffic stop on foot because he was afraid to go back to jail. According to Tewksbury Police, an officer on routine patrol at around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, spotted a black Pontiac Grand Prix traveling east on Andover Street and tried to pull it over for a defective light violation. However, the driver pulled away and continued along Andover Street. According to the officer's report, the vehicle veered to the right several times without slowing down.
