Third Suspect Arrested In Connection With Van Buren Road Burglary

First two suspects had been arrested over the weekend.

Call it a clean sweep. On Tuesday, March 19, Tewksbury Police tracked down and arrested a third suspect in connection with a house break on Van Buren Road last week. Michael Codner, 26, of 34 Cinnamon Circle, Tewksbury was arrested on Rt. 28 in Lawrence.  He was charged with breaking and entering, larceny over $250, and conspiracy. In addition, Codner had an outstanding warrant out of Lawrence District Court for driving with a suspended license and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.  On Saturday, March 16, police had arrested Ryan Codner, of 34 Cinnamon Circle and Kayla Freda of Stoneham in connection with the Van Buren Road burglary. Pair Arrested In Connection With Burglary Of Grieving Family's Home

Home broken into while family was at wake.

A Billerica man and a Tewksbury woman have been arrested and charged in connection with the burglary of the home of a grieving family. Michael Shannon, 19, of 33 Devonshire Drive, Billerica and Julia Didonato, 20, of 15 Oakland Ave, Tewksbury are each charged with receiving stolen property with a value in excess of $250. They are charged in connection with a burglary that took place on Dec. 12 at 117 Elm St., Tewksbury. The home is the residence of the Fleury family and the crime took place while the family was attending the wake for Wayne Fleury. Tewksbury Police Issue Code Red For Attempted House Break on Whipple Road

Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate suspect.

Tewksbury Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a suspect who attempted to break into a home at 666 Whipple Road Tuesday afternoon. The attempted burglary took place at approximately 2 p.m., according to a Code Red alert issued by Tewksbury Police. Any resident who witnessed a suspicious individual or vehicle in that neighborhood around that time is asked to call the Tewksbury Police at 978-851-7355.

Not sure if I agree with you about the cops.. I always see them on Whipple! And I saw them out with the K9 the other night after the cars were broken into over there.. and they arrested all 3 of these scumbags within a couple days of the crime.. not sure what else you want them to do? Unless the residents of this neighborhood "are high profile or connected"...   more ›

Police Put Out 'Code Red' For Help Finding Burglary Suspect

Tewksbury Police issued a 'Code Red' alert Tuesday afternoon, asking for the public 's help tracking down a burglary suspect. At about 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, two officers were dispatched to a home on Cayuga Road for a report of a suspicious person on the property. When the officers arrived, they spotted a man in his late 30s wearing a green hooded sweatshirt. When the man saw the officers, he ran behind a neighboring house and dropped out of sight. Officers searched for the man and brought in the K9 unit to assist but they could not locate the suspect. Trio Nabbed Breaking Into Abandoned Home

The home at 283 Pleasant St. may be vacant but the neighbors are still keeping a watchful eye. On Sept. 14, Tewksbury Police received a call from a resident reporting that an older model white pickup truck was in the driveway at 283 Pleasant St. and that three people looked like they were emptying items out of the home, which was believed to be abandoned. Officers responded to the scene and stopped the pickup at the corner of Pleasant and Helvetia. After an investigation, the three occupants of the truck were arrested. Laura A. Riddle, 39, 700 North St., Tewksbury, was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250, larceny from a building, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools. …

Tewksbury man arrested in connection with Quincy burglary.

A Billerica man is facing allegations that he assaulted his elderly father. Police responded to a call from a resident who said he had just been assaulted by his adult son. The alleged victim told officers that the man had just left in a gray Nissan SUV. Tewksbury officers called Billerica Police and informed them of the situation. UPDATED: Burglary Suspect Linked to Six Breaks in Two Towns

Homeowner calls police after coming face to face with man in her home.

UPDATED 6:30 p.m. Face-to-face with an unwanted visitor in her home, a John Street resident didn't panic, she called 911. As a result, a string of burglaries spanning at least two communities may have been solved. Tewksbury Police arrested Edward James Flynn, 48, of Lowell, shortly after he broke into a home at 161 John Street at around 9:30 a.m. Monday. Officers responded to a 911 call from the homeowner, who gave a detailed description of the man, standing in her home. According to the police report, he was described as being in his 40s, 5-11, wearing eye glasses, a blue baseball cap, a flannel shirt and dungarees. Tewksbury Teen Charged in String of Break-ins

17-year-old suspect caught allegedly leaving the scene of a home burglary.

A Tewksbury teen is facing multiple charges after he was allegedly caught leaving the scene of a burglary Wednesday afternoon. Police, responding to a house alarm at 755 North St. at 2:30 p.m., spotted Jonathan Whitcomb, 17, allegedly sneaking out of the home. He was quickly apprehended. According to Police Chief Tim Sheehan, officers also learned at the scene that Whitcomb was responsible for breaking into two vehicles at the Residence Inn on Andover Street. A search of  Whitcomb’s residence uncovered stolen property from those incidents, said police.
